Our Story
There is an incredible need in our community for Christian, Bible-based, early childhood education that values children as unique children of God. It is more important than ever for God to be the center of all we do and to guide our decisions as parents. He calls us to educate His children to know Him. Our children need an excellent start in their education and a solid foundation of faith that starts with knowing that Jesus loves them, and He is their friend.
After my previous school and ministry closed, I made other plans for my future. But God made it very clear in various ways at various times to me and our team that He wanted this ministry to continue. Proverbs 16:9 says, “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” We prayed through every decision, every day, and God provided clarity every step of the way. He opened and closed doors. He brought the team together, and He brought mentors and advisors and strong supporters. It is without doubt we know we were supposed to open this school, for Him and His children.
Our Story Continued
We opened Legacy Christian Academy in February, 2024 in Orland Park, Illinois for children 15 months to 8 years old. It is such a blessing to be Jesus’ hands and feet as we minister to our families and the children He brings to us. It is a privilege that we hold very dear and take very seriously.
Our mission is to provide our students an exceptional God-centered education and to connect with families united in a commitment to the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Legacy Christian Academy is named for Christ. He loved God completely and loved us so much He sacrificed His life for us. We can all leave a legacy for Christ by following His example of loving God and others. We want our children and their families to know Jesus. We want to partner with parents to leave their legacy of a faith in Christ to their children. And we want this school to be our legacy for Christ.
