CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

TODDLERS

15-23 MONTHS

A whole new world opens up to children when they take their first steps and speak their first words. Their walking and talking helps them develop their first relationships and friendships.   Our Toddlers program is filled with sensory experiences that teach them about their environment:  the people and the physical space.  Our energetic teachers provide a high level of interaction while also nurturing each child individually.

PRESCHOOL

2-YEAR-OLDS

Two year olds are busy and curious about the world around them.  They seek to explore their environment and learn to communicate their thoughts and feelings.  They simultaneously begin to exert their independence and gain an understanding of group play.  Our 2 Year Olds Program develops the whole child by focusing on both education and social skills.  Our passionate and patient teachers provide many ways for this group to creatively express themselves:  games, songs, movement, art.  Child-directed play ensures your child develops at his or her own pace.  Sharing, taking turns, and cooperating  teach your child the importance of being in a group.

2 YEAR OLD

The preschooler’s world opens up greatly as they improve coordination, learn complex skills and interact with peers.  Our 3 year old Program introduces handwriting, language, math, science, and social skills.  A logical sequential approach encourages learning one step at a time.  Our professional teachers provide individual attention to support your child’s unique needs.  This program provides a classroom environment that encourages your child to explore and challenges your child to learn.  Preschoolers are making friends and developing self-confidence.  Cognitive skills are strengthened through fun memory games and opportunities are provided for hands-on experiences.  Listening to Bible stories and completing related arts and crafts, memorizing scripture, praying multiple times per day, and worshipping together each morning reinforce how very much Jesus loves them.  Our preschool teachers are fun and loving yet provide much-needed structure throughout the day.

3 YEAR OLD

This is a critical time for these children as they need to gain independence while preparing for the next exciting phase: Kindergarten!  We help make the transition smoother for your child by providing a more structured learning environment.  We make sure to pay special attention to developing and growing your child’s communication, relationship-building and higher-level thinking skills. We also help refine your child’s motor skills and encourage expressing creative ideas out loud. Listening to Bible stories and completing related arts and crafts, memorizing scripture, praying multiple times per day, and worshipping together each morning reinforce how very much Jesus loves them. Our teachers are passionate and consider it a privilege to be partnering with you during this special time in your child’s life.

4 YEAR OLD

KINDERGARTEN

Our Kindergarten program is a comprehensive, skill-based program designed to prepare your child for first grade and future success in school.  We ensure your child is enjoying the educational process.  Lessons are designed to meet your child’s individual needs.  Many opportunities are provided for your child to explore, question, communicate, and create in a fun, supportive environment.  By the end of Kindergarten, your child will have worked on developing the language skills needed for their next steps in school, learned to reason and analyze situations, practiced age-appropriate social and emotional skills, improved physical abilities, and expanded his or her creativity.  Listening to Bible stories and completing related arts and crafts, memorizing scripture, praying multiple times per day, and worshipping together each morning reinforce how very much Jesus loves them. Our teachers love Kindergarten and Kindergarteners!

KINDERGARTEN

SUMMER PROGRAM

END OF MAY – MIDDLE OF AUGUST​

Each day will be filled with developmentally-appropriate activities related to the week’s theme: arts & crafts, music, science, and games.  Additionally, each day will include worship time, Bible stories, and numerous times outdoors on our playground. This summer program will include lots of fun and hands-on learning, with less curriculum-based learning typical throughout the school  year.       

 

All students will be given lunch as well as two snacks, one each morning and one each afternoon. Children that arrive before 7:30am will be given a light breakfast served cold (ie cereal, muffins.)  All food served will be store-bought, healthy and nutritious, and will not include snacks with a high sugar content. Snacks will incorporate at least 2 of the 4 major food groups. Lunches will incorporate all 4 food groups. Our facility strives to be a peanut-free environment. 

SUMMER PROGRAM

PROGRAM FEATURES

  • Providing hands-on learning engages children and keeps their interest.

  • Outside activities include playing on our playground, blowing bubbles, getting creative with sidewalk chalk, riding on wheeled toys, jumping on a junior trampoline, playing with sandboxes and water tables, and going on scavenger hunts. 

  • Indoor activities include playing with classroom toys, reading books, doing puzzles, doing arts and crafts, playing music, experiencing science, being challenged with STEM games/toys, and listening to Bible stories.
